DESCRIPTION:

Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council Incorporated is seeking a Utility Person to work in our Head Start Program. Assist in the facilities maintenance of Head Start Centers providing services for children age 3 to 4 year old in Macon. Duties include cleaning inside and out, assembling and moving equipment, making minor repairs and assisting in inventory control and accounting. This is a full time, 40hr per week position. Must undergo background checks, drug screening, TB screening and physical prior to employment.

HEAD START FAMILY ADVOCATE

DESCRIPTION:

Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council Incorporated is seeking a conscientious individual to work in our Head Start/Early Head Start Program as a Family Advocate. This position is responsible for providing intensive and comprehensive services, support, and follow-up with enrolled children and their families in Head Start/Early Head Start Program. The Family Advocate assists parents with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of services and goals established during the enrollment process. HEAD START CENTER OFFICE ASSISTANT

DESCRIPTION:

Macon - Bibb County E.O.C. is seeking a dependable and creative person to work as a Center Office Assistant. Incumbent will assist the Center Manager or Early Head Start Specialist with the day to day administrative duties of the Head Start/Early Head Start Centers. Incumbent will be responsible for creating stimulating boards and announcements for parents and visitors to the center, assisting with the preparation of reports, answering the phones, greeting center visitors in a professional manner and routing mail to the appropriate persons. Responsible for observing, assessing, and recording behavior of all children assigned to classroom, maintaining all necessary records, making home visits, and work in partnership with Teacher Assistants and classroom volunteers. MEAL DELIVERY

Responsible for monitoring Head Start children ages 3 to 5 yrs old being transported by bus to and from schools in Macon and Forsyth to enable drivers to operate without distraction. Bus Monitors assist children on and off the bus and direct them to their proper classroom upon arrival at the Head Start Center. CHILD DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

DESCRIPTION:

Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council Incorporated is seeking a competent individual to work in our Head Start/Early Head Start Program as a Child Development Specialist. Duties include but not limited to staff/parent development and training as it pertains to implementing a program of instruction directed towards pre-school education as well as coordination of transition activities for Head Start children and families into the public school system. You will also be a Mentor Coach to all teaching staff coordinating and monitoring program services, and presenting reports to Management staff and collaborative partners. Must undergo TB testing, physical, drug screening and criminal background search prior to hire.

Duties include but are not limited to transporting clients in vans and buses throughout the greater Macon area, working with special projects in the warehouse as needed and assisting other drivers as a monitor as needed. CASE MANAGER

DESCRIPTION:

Macon-Bibb County EOC, Inc. is seeking a conscientious individual to work as a Case Manager at our Outreach Services Center. This position is responsible for assisting the Community Services Manager with various program grants and funding sources as well as handling the day-to-day management of outreach clients to include client assessments, problem resolution and transitional housing visits. This is a full-time position and you must be willing to work flexible hours. Must undergo background checks and drug screening prior to employment.

DESCRIPTION:

Incumbents will perform duties that are clerical in nature. They will assist the Outreach Center with the Agency’s Low Income Heating Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Incumbents will perform duties that are clerical in nature. They will assist the Outreach Center with the Agency’s Low Income Heating Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Responsibilities will include but not limited to data entry, answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, conducting interviews (on site and in homes), and processing applications. This position is temporary (3-4 months) working Monday through Saturday starting as early as 6:00am. Must undergo a criminal background investigation and drug screening prior to employment.

DESCRIPTION:

Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council Incorporated is seeking a responsible individual to work as an Employment Services Associate (ESA) at DFCS. ESAs work in a support function to assist in the day to day operations of Bibb County DFACS. These responsibilities include but are not limited to ongoing monitoring of clients, data entry, initiating referrals for clients, case management support and employment services for TANF clients to include transportation. This person may also be responsible for the preparation of reports, daily, weekly and/ or monthly. This is a contract position. Must undergo fingerprint background checks and drug screening prior to employment.
