POSITION: EARLY HEAD START CAREGIVER

DESCRIPTION:
Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council Incorporated is seeking Caregivers to work in our Early Head Start Program. Individuals interested in the position must be able to establish a safe and healthy environment based on an approved curriculum and daily schedule for infants and toddlers (ages 0 to 2yrs). Responsible for observing, assessing, and recording behavior of all infants and toddlers assigned to classroom, maintaining all necessary records, conduct developmental screenings of infants and toddlers, and provide parents with information concerning developmental milestones. This is a full-time 40 hours per week position. Must undergo background checks, drug screening, TB screening and physical prior to employment.

INTERESTED APPLICANTS:
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent form an accredited institution.

Must have three (3) years paid experience working with infants and toddlers.

Must be able to obtain a CDA (Childhood Development Associate) for Infants and Toddlers within the first year of hire.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Must have an acceptable MVR (7yr), valid GA Driver’s License and reliable transportation to conduct home visits.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education

SALARY/WAGES: $8.00/hr with High School Diploma or $9.13/hr with CDA for Infants and Toddlers
