Employment
Services Associates
Employment Services Associates act as
mentors and life skills assessors, and
refer TANF clients to various agencies
in the community for assistance needed
by the TANF family. ESAs administer
and score various assessments required
by DFCS for TANF clients. These assessments
will be administered in the Work Experience
(WEX) building or at the TANF customer's
home when needed. Employment Services
Associates are expected to be proactive
in their effort to motivate clients
to fully participate in the Mentoring
Program. In order for DFCS to receive
credit for client participation in the
Mentoring Program, clients must be involved
in 20-hours of primary activities weekly
if they have children under six-years
of age and 30-hours per week if they
have children six or older. Work experience,
job related activities and actual employment
are classified as "primary activities". |
