The Floater’s role is working with children between the ages of 0-5, it encompasses the following:
- Working in conjunction with staff to provide teachers with breaks and planning time.
- Assists the teacher to observe, assess, redirect and record behavior of all children assigned to classroom, and maintaining all necessary records.
- Position requires moving around the center to various classrooms.
- Meeting all children’s needs
- Working with families
- Professional growth and collaboration
Requirements:
- Must be a High School graduate or possess a GED from an accredited institution.
- Must have intermediate computer skills to work with Program specific databases, compile daily classroom notes and observations.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with Management, co-workers, parents, vendors and contractors.
- Ability to sit, bend, crawl, kneel for long periods of time or repeatedly and be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs.
- Daily reliable transportation – must be willing to use personal vehicle to make home visits, attend meetings and other assigned duties for the Agency.
- Acceptable driving record, valid GA Driver’s License and acceptable auto insurance.
- Pass all background checks
